This is America.
Sometimes people say, “I live in America.”
Sometimes they say, “I live in the United States of America.”
Sometimes they say, “I live in the United States.”
Sometimes they say, “I live in the USA.”
Sometimes they say, “I live in the US.”
They all mean the same thing.
さあ、ここで簡単だけど気を付けたいポイント！
みんな同じ意味のこの文章ですが、
theがつくのとつかないのは何が違うんでしょう？
日本語にも色んな言い方があるように、英語にも色んな言い方があります。
そしてアメリカ英語、イギリス英語、オーストラリアやニュージーランド、カナダ色んな国々の人達が色んな訛りやアクセントで話しています。
日本の中でも色んな方言ありますね。
英語圏の人達は自分たちの国、地方の英語が一番だと自信たっぷりに言います。
発音も勿論大事ですが、何より自信を持ってどう話すか、どう伝えるかが一番大事です。
